This Division conducts regional transportation planning throughout the West Central Indiana Metropolitan Planning as the Terre Haute Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (THAMPO). Congress established transportation planning organizations to ensure federal funds expended for transportation projects are based on a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive (“3-C”) planning process that involves local government officials, community stakeholders, the state department of transportation, and the public.
The Disabled Citizens Advisory Committee (DCAC) has been formed under the leadership of the Terre Haute Transit Utility to provide a forum for identifyinh and addressing the transportation needs of those with disabilities. Upcoming Meeting to be held December 14, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the Vigo County Public Library Main Branch located at 1 Library Sqaure, Terre Haute, IN.
Seeking Public Comment on a request from the Indiana Department of Transportation to amend the SFY 2020 - 2024 TIP for DES#1902855, a rest area modernization project, as follows:
Change the Right-of-Way (RW) phase to SFY 2023 from SFY 2022.
Change the Construction (CN) phase from SFY 2024 from SFY 2023.
No changes to funding amounts.
No changes in scope of the project.
